amyAmy Revell, Chair

Amy Revell is the Business Development Associate for Paragon Interiors Group, based in Nottingham. The leading UK specialist in commercial interior design, fit-out, refurbishment and construction. Tasked with developing and strengthening the company’s growth strategy, Amy believes building open and honest partnerships whilst exceeding high client expectations is the key to success.

Amy has always had a passion for the construction industry, starting her career with Barratt Homes at the age of 18, she knew a hard hat and high-vis jacket would be a staple fashion accessory for her. Pushing her career forward Amy moved into sub-contracting, specializing in bespoke aluminum, and curtain walling, then progressing on to main contracting. Amy gained not only technical knowledge, but strengthened her well rounded business instinct, enabling her to build and see a clear path of progression. Moving into a strategic role, Amy prides herself on industry knowledge, integrity, having the right attitude and always putting the client first.

Amy is extremely passionate about inspiring our next generation about the vast and varied opportunities the construction industry has to offer, she is keen to talk about her experiences and goals with other females, to strengthen and grow ambitions, whilst attempting to remove the stigma and barriers that can prevent some women looking to come into the industry. “By coming together and working as a national network, it enables us to achieve great things.”

MariabwMaria Warren, Deputy Chair

Maria has worked for G F Tomlinson for thepast eleven years. She is a CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) Professional and has recently embarked on a new role as Office Managerfor G F Tomlinson providing high quality personal and administrative assistance to the Managing Director and co-ordinating the company’scorporate events.

Maria has experience of organising and participating in community, charity and educational events and as member of NAWIC, she has taken the opportunity to organise construction related seminars and site visits.

G F Tomlinson is one of the largest independent regional contractors operating within Central England, from offices in Derby and Little Eaton in Derbyshire.The business was founded in 1892 and today is a leading, well respected construction firm with an excellent reputation for successful delivery.

Maria joined NAWIC in 2015 and enjoys being part of the East Midlands NAWIC committee.



ChristinebwChristine Parker, Treasurer 

A qualified RICS Chartered Surveyor, Christine works for Futures Housing Group based in Ripley, Derbyshire as the New Business Manager locating and developing housing sites in the East Midlands area.

As a registered provider Futures HG has recently diversified into the private market sector with the newly branded Limehouse Company. Delivery of new build private market rent and sale properties is a key area of focus.

Christine’s skills are in site finding, feasibility studies, planning, pre, on site and post contract work with developers. In addition, she undertakes informal valuation work and estate management tasks for the Company





AmiebwAimie Rimmington, Education 

Aimie holds a BSc Hons Degree in Architectural Technology, an MSc Degree in Project Management and a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education. Her passion for construction project management has resulted in research towarda PhD through article publications on communication in the construction industry.

Aimie is a Chartered Architectural Technologist, a Full Member of the Association of Project Management and is a Fellow Member of the Higher Education Academy.She currently holds the position of Senior Lecturer in Construction and Project Management where she teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate (part time, full time and distance learning) students. She has recently contributed further to higher education through her interestand researchin eLearning and eAssessment.

Her previous positions included working for Architectural and Project Management practices where she started her career full time and became experienced as a Chartered Architectural Technologist and Project Manager.

Aimie continues to find the construction industry an exciting challenge full of opportunity and has worked with focus and determination to achieve her goals. She helps others to achieve their goals through teaching and supporting a new generation of construction industry professionals. 



She hopes her involvement with NAWIC will help to support women in construction and bring a wealth of Architectural, Project Management and educational experience to the Association.
